San Diego: A Milestone in My Journey

After walking for 39 days from San Francisco, I have finally reached San Diego, the southernmost city of the United States. So far, my journey has taken me from north to south, covering 1,160 km on foot. Now, I turn eastward, continuing my walk across the USA.

Yesterday, I was graciously hosted by Sandip Bharti sir at his home, where I had the opportunity to meet some wonderful people in the evening. The day was beautiful, with a cool breeze from the Pacific Ocean and the sight of many happy people enjoying nature. Indeed, nature has a way of helping us reconnect with our true selves.
The day before, I met an elderly man named Mark, who has spent most of his life traveling in an RV, deeply immersed in nature. Over the last few days, I have been walking through national parks, where I had the chance to camp overnight. One evening, I met a group of young men who had come for a party. They were incredibly respectful and friendly, reminding me once again of the kindness that exists in the world.
Today, in downtown San Diego, I met a woman, When I mentioned my intention to meet President Trump, she dismissed it as pointless, saying he would never take me seriously. But in my seven years of walking across the world, I have witnessed change. More importantly, I hold an unshakable faith in humanity. Many times, people have laughed at the idea of hope, but I continue to believe that transformation is possible.
To complete my seven-month walk in the USA, I must briefly exit the country to reset my visa. In the next couple of days, I will cross into Mexico and return, ensuring I can continue my journey toward Washington, D.C.
With gratitude,
